Gas work is the one area where there is no room for a rough guess. Everything we do is licensed, permitted, pressure tested and inspected.
If you smell gas
Leave the house first, then call the gas company from outside. Do not switch anything on or off on your way out, including lights. Once the supply is safe, we will find the leak, repair it properly and have the work inspected.
Older lines in older homes
Many West Ashley homes were piped for a stove and a furnace and nothing more. Adding a tankless water heater, a bigger range or a dryer to that line often leaves everything underperforming, and it usually gets blamed on the new appliance. We work out the total demand before running anything.
Adding gas for something new
Ranges, dryers, tankless heaters, outdoor grills, fire pits and standby generators. Newer homes are sometimes already piped and capped for these, which makes the job straightforward.
During a renovation
Older West Ashley renovations often uncover disused gas piping inside walls, sometimes still connected. Capping and removing that properly is the part of the work nobody ever sees and everybody should insist on.
