Most faucet calls here are cartridge wear on fittings that have been in service since the house was built.
Builder-grade fixtures past warranty
Whole subdivisions were fitted with the same entry-level faucets, and they reach the end of their useful life together. Replacing with a better cartridge-based fixture usually costs less over five years than repeated repairs on the original.
Higher-end fixtures are worth repairing
Plenty of Mount Pleasant kitchens and baths have quality fittings where a cartridge or rebuild kit restores them properly. We would rather repair a good fixture than replace it, and we will tell you which situation you are in.
Low pressure at one tap
Almost always a blocked aerator. Unscrew it, soak in vinegar, refit. Low pressure across the whole house points at the pressure regulator or the service line instead.
Under-sink leaks
Supply connectors and drain assemblies fail slowly. On slab construction the first visible sign is usually damage to the cabinet base. Worth a look under each sink twice a year, particularly in guest bathrooms nobody uses.
