If your water pressure has faded over the years, or the first water of the morning looks rusty, the pipe is usually the reason.
Galvanised pipe rusts closed
Homes here from the fifties and sixties were plumbed with galvanised steel, which corrodes on the inside. The opening gets narrower long before anything leaks, which is why the shower weakens when someone runs the kitchen tap, and why the water looks off first thing.
Patching one section rarely lasts
If the pipe has closed up along its length, replacing one piece simply moves the problem a few feet. We will be straight with you about when repiping is the better use of your money.
Less disruptive than you would think
New pipe can usually be run through existing wall cavities, closets and the attic, so we open a few targeted spots rather than every wall. It can also be done in stages if that suits you better.
The line from the street
If pressure is poor everywhere, the service line may be the problem rather than the house. We can bore a new one through underground, leaving your lawn and drive alone — which matters on lots where the ground is soft and digging is messy.
