There is no room for approximation with gas, so every job here is licensed, permitted, pressure tested and signed off.
If you smell gas
Leave the house first, then call from outside. Do not switch anything on or off on your way out, lights included. Once the supply is safe we will find the leak, repair it properly and have the work inspected.
Older homes were piped for less
Many of the original Hanahan houses were piped for a stove and a furnace and nothing more. Adding a tankless water heater or a larger range to that line leaves everything underperforming, and it almost always gets blamed on the new appliance rather than the supply. We work out the total demand first.
Abandoned pipe during renovations
Older homes here sometimes have disused gas piping inside walls, occasionally still connected. Capping and removing it properly is the part of the job nobody sees and everybody should insist on.
Generators, grills and fire pits
All straightforward when done properly with exterior-rated pipe and shut-offs. Generators in particular are often specified without accounting for everything else already drawing on the line.
