If the same drain has needed clearing more than once, jetting is usually what puts a stop to it.
Clearing and cleaning are different things
A cable makes a hole through the blockage so water flows again, but everything coating the pipe stays where it is. That is why the problem comes back sooner each time. Jetting washes the pipe walls properly.
Hard water makes it more relevant here
Berkeley County water leaves scale inside drain lines as well as inside your water heater. Combined with cooking grease, that gives kitchen and laundry lines a coating a cable will pass straight through without shifting. Jetting removes it.
Useful in rental properties
If you own a rental here, a scheduled jetting on a property with a history of blockages costs considerably less than repeated emergency call-outs with tenants in place — and it is far easier to arrange between tenancies.
When we will say no
On older cast iron or clay that has already thinned, high pressure can do more harm than good. That is why we look with a camera first, and on a fragile line we will recommend lining instead.
