On acreage, the argument for lining is different from in town — it is about the length of the run rather than the lack of space.
Very long lines
Where a house sits well back from the road, the line to the tank or the connection can run a very long way. Trenching several hundred feet through woodland, pasture or a gravel drive is a substantial undertaking. Lining works through access points that already exist.
Trees you would rather keep
Awendaw properties are wooded, and mature roots spread far wider than the canopy. Digging near them risks the tree as much as the budget, and lining seals the joints those roots were entering through.
Where it does not apply
If your problem is the septic tank or the drain field rather than the line, lining is irrelevant. That is why we look first — we would rather tell you the pipe is fine than sell you work on it.
When it cannot be done
A collapsed line, or one that has lost its fall and holds water along its length, cannot be lined.
