Nearly every property out here is on a septic system, and knowing what is yours to fix and what belongs to a septic contractor saves you money.
What the symptoms usually mean
If every drain in the house slows at once, gurgles, or you notice a patch of grass suddenly greener than the rest, that generally points at the tank or the drain field rather than the pipe inside your home. Clearing the house line will not help if that is the case, and we will tell you so rather than take payment for it.
What we handle
The line from your house to the tank, and everything inside the property. Where the problem is genuinely the tank or the field, we will say so clearly and point you to the right people.
Wet ground makes it worse
Low ground near the creeks and the forest means a high water table for parts of the year. A drain field struggles when the ground around it is already saturated, which is why some Awendaw septic problems appear seasonal rather than constant.
Look before you dig
On a large rural lot, knowing exactly where the line runs saves a great deal of unnecessary excavation. We camera and mark it while we are there.
