On a septic system a slow drain is worth thinking about before anyone starts clearing it, because the cause may be well past the pipe.
One drain or all of them
If it is one sink or one shower, that is a blockage and it is straightforward. If everything in the house has slowed down together, that usually points at the tank being full or the drain field struggling. Clearing the line will not fix that, and we would rather explain the difference than charge you to find out.
Septic systems are less forgiving
Wipes labelled flushable, grease and heavy paper cause problems in the tank as well as the pipe. On mains drainage that is somebody else’s problem downstream; on septic it is yours, and it shortens the life of the system.
Older rural pipe
Some of the older properties out here have cast iron or clay from the house to the tank, which narrows with age and takes roots at the joints. Given the trees around most Awendaw properties, roots are a genuine factor.

If the line is old, high pressure can do more harm than good. We look first.
